The neuroscience community has been surprised by recent research that reveals that our brains can change, and be improved, at any age in our life cycle. Neuroscientists now call this process neuroplasticity. Additional good news is that we can direct our own neuroplasticity and train our brains to be far more effective – we can literally rewire our brains on demand. Interestingly, further research proves some practices of ancient Eastern traditions actually result in greatly improved brain functioning. However, very few people really know how to take advantage of these neuroscience breakthroughs and actually apply them in a way that is relevant to their life. That is why I developed these 7 practices: to make available to everyone, in easy-to-understand language, practices to greatly improve your brain.

In addition to being supported by recent research of the human brain in the Western world, these 7 practices are also influenced by mindfulness and other ancient mental disciplines from the Eastern world. This East-West synthesis reflects my many years of work and study on both sides of the Pacific Ocean, and my lifelong interest in how to improve the human brain.
Each year more and more adults are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Although there is yet no proven cure, research strongly suggests that the practices encouraged in this presentation prevent, delay or slow the progress of those mind-destroying disorders.

This presentation will reveal stimulating and transformative practices to anyone who wants to ensure their brain remains healthy and operating with improved memory, reduced feelings of stress, increased cognitive reserve, and overall improved neurological functioning for the rest of their life.

During this presentation, you will discover 7 simple but highly effective brain-improvement practices that you can apply immediately to improve how you live, work and play.

For example, you will discover:

1. Why what you eat is so important for your brain’s health, and what foods actually boost your brain’s functioning.

2. Why a focused brain is so tremendously powerful and how to achieve such life-changing focus by activating multiple senses.

3. Why simple movements improve your elevate your mood and boost your memory, without the need for strenuous daily athletics.

4. Why social connections increase brain connections and why attending that family reunion helps you neurologically.

5. Why being sleep-deprived is as dangerous as being drunk, and how to make up for lost sleep and enhance memory.

6. Why challenging yourself mentally increases your cognitive reserves, and surprisingly simple ways you can challenge your brain every day.

7. Why attitude changes everything, including your brain, and why laughter is so helpful in reducing stress and improving your physical and mental wellbeing so you enjoy life.

This presentation is recommended for anyone with a brain.

Jonathan Jordan, a leadership coach and member of the prestigious Society for Neuroscience, began his career in the Himalayan kingdom where the Buddha was born. Having learned the language and immersed himself in the culture there, he discovered ancient Eastern practices that increased his ability to train his brain for self-development purposes. Jonathan later became a licensed psychotherapist in the United States and successfully blended these Eastern practices with Western knowledge to greatly improve the wellbeing of his clients. He was appointed a Faculty Fellow of Florida State University and through a series of nation-wide seminars he trains scores of other professionals in his unique synthesis of East-West practices that can greatly improve the human brain. Jonathan has also been successful in global corporations where led initiatives to create cutting-edge multi-sensory training & development programs for Fortune 500 companies that positively impact millions of employees worldwide every year. He is currently the president of a boutique business & personal development firm that utilizes mindfulness and other brain-based practices to guide others to obtain greater success and satisfaction in their career, and life in general. Recently, Jonathan has been engaged by the United States Senate to deliver brain-based professional development workshops to the Senate Staff in Washington, DC.
