"Baltic Way 2014 - The Freedom Way" in Temple Bar, Dublin 2, Ireland!
Schedule of events on 23rd August 2014:
11.00 - Symbolic 4K Run
Dedicated to Commemoration Day of 25th anniversary of "The Baltic Way"
(Organized by the "Lithuanian Runner Club" Start and finish will be at the Central Bank Plaza)
Everyone can join to run, jog or even walk!
12.00 - Official Opening of the Commemoration Day
(Main stage at the Central Bank Plaza)
- Welcoming address by His Excellency Mr. Gints Apals -
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary for Latvia in Ireland.
- Welcoming address by The Guest of Honor,
His Excellency Mr. Christy Burke - The Lord Mayor of Dublin.
- Welcoming speeches by Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian communities in Ireland and performances of folk dances / songs from each country.
12.45 - Forming of The Human Chain, representing the peoples strive to freedom and peace!
Everyone is welcome to Join!
(Start is at the main stage area of the Central Bank Plaza)
11.00 - 17.00 Baltic Trading Fair at The Temple Bar.
- Fair of crafts, groceries and souvenirs from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
- Stands introducing the three Baltic countries culture and their communities in Ireland. (Temple Bar area)
11.00 - 17.00 Culture and The Baltic Games!
Throughout the day, there will be activities for everyone:
- Folk singing and dancing by choirs and dance groups.
(Main Stage at The Central Bank and at The Baltic Fair area)
- Family Fun for KIDS and ADULTS - The Baltic Games!
(DCC Civic Offices Amphitheatre area)
A DAY FULL OF FUN AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!
