Vantastival is a family-friendly festival which takes place over the May Bank Holiday Weekend.
Three stages of live music and entertainment host up to 70 acts over the course of the weekend, while a range of activities focusing on the campervan lifestyle bring an extra dimension to the only festival of its kind in Ireland. Other attractions include gourmet food stalls, festival traders, scheduled kids’ activities, documentary cinema, art, craft and theatre, ensuring that Vantastival has something for everyone, with or without a campervan! Campervans are welcome to park on site at no extra charge, but you don’t have to have a campervan to enjoy all that’s on offer and there is a dedicated tent campsite for those without vans! Children are welcome and kids under 14 get in for free.

Opening time

The festival site will be open from 2pm on Friday 3rd May 2013. The box office will be open from 2pm to 11.30pm. On Saturday and Sunday the box office will be open from 11am to 11pm.
Public Transport
There will be shuttle buses running throughout the weekend to and from Dundalk and Bellurgan Park. More info to follow

Tickets and Wristbands

3 Nights camping - €89, Day tickets - €40

Tickets will be exchanged at the box office for wristbands. Tickets are numbered, so if a ticket is sold privately to a different person, the name of the original ticket purchaser will be required. We recommend you bring a photo ID, should there be any issues regarding ticket origin.

Alcohol

In order to make this festival as affordable as possible, it will be a BRING YOUR OWN BEER event. No glass bottles are allowed on site. Please transfer everything to plastic bottles before heading to the festival. While alcohol will be allowed in the festival arena, bottles and cans will not be allowed in our stage marquees. Disposable cups will not be allowed as they create unnecessary waste. Liquid transferred to open cups will be allowed. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 21, who will have to sign accepting responsibility. Anyone under the age of 18 drinking alcohol, along with their accompanying adult, will be asked to leave the event. Proof of age is required for minors and accompanying adults.

Car Park

The Car Park is very close to the festival site and will be well signposted (5 minute walk). Absolutely no camping will be permitted in the Car Park. No sound systems will be permitted in the car park and anyone attempting to operate a sound system here will be asked to leave the site.
Camping
There are two main camping areas on the festival site – one for residential vehicles, and one for those pitching tents. The campervan campsite will be further divided, with a specific area for classic VWs. Family camping for both tents and campervans will be located within the campervan field. Day Ticket holders will not be allowed to camp overnight. This year we also have a boutique camping option. More info to follow.

Campervans and Caravans

On arrival, campervan and caravan drivers must leave their vehicles while exchanging tickets for wristbands at the box office. Once on site, campervans must remain on site – vehicles leaving the site during the weekend will not be re-admitted. After exchanging tickets for wristbands, caravans may be pull to the camp site by car, then the car removed to the off-site Car Park.
Facilities
Toilets will be dispersed throughout the site, as will drinking-water dispensers. We will have one shower block located close to the family campsite. There will be a baby-changing tent with access to hot water and electricity in the family camping area.

Electric hook ups

There will be a very limited number electric hook ups available in the family campsite and they will be given on a first come first served basis, but we really try to keep these for families with very small children and babies so unless you are really in need of the power, just use your leisure battery. A charge of €30 for the weekend will apply for an electric hook up.
Food and Drink
There will be a range of food and non-alcoholic drink stalls open all weekend which should cater to every taste.
