DATE: 11 - 14 April 2013
VENUE: Dungarvan, Co Waterford

This annual Festival of Food has become synonymous with fabulous food, fantastic family fun, magical music and much more. It is a community centred festival which celebrates the richness and diversity of the food culture of Dungarvan and West Waterford. It features a wide variety of events, some free, some ticketed and some described as fringe. The Festival unfolds in powerful community settings, with locals & visitors sharing picnic baskets in the Walton Park, foraging together for fun in the woods and clamouring over the rocks on the beach to find a bucket-full of delicious seaweed. Renowned chefs from far and wide also join in to cook, chat and demonstrate with local chefs. Food producers from elsewhere also come to pitch their stands at the Festival's Farmer's Market and together locals and visitors enjoy the pleasure of each other's company.

For those wishing to meet producers and understand the process involved in getting quality produce from farm to fork there are 'Bus Bia's' (Bia being the Irish word for Food) taking people to visit producers across West Waterford. For children there are events in the Library, the Museum, at King John's Castle and the very popular 'Busy with Biscuits' a very 'hands-on experience' for children at local venues.

For those wishing to meet renowned chefs local Chef Paul Flynn always has interesting visitors for the Festival!
